on friday night/ saturday morning (BEFORE sunrise) i was sick to my stomach and ended up vomiting 5 times within 4 hours. by 4:45, i was asleep. At 7:30 or so, i woke up again and went to pray at the porcelain alter for the last time. > A < i was all so gross and blreghbvffdsvbdanvjfkavnvvndj ; ______ ;

anyways. i finished City of Bones, and i'm very angry at it.
VERY.
ANGRY.
>. ( I SWEAR, IF SIMON AND MAIA EVER EVEN HINT ABOUT LIKING EACH OTHER (IN /THAT/ WAY) I AM GOING TO SCREAM. i couldn't care less about that Maia-mary-sue. i'm starting to think that Clary is definitely becoming a MS. and Jace.
; A ; BUT OMG. ALEC AND MAGNUS FOR. EV.ERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!

this was the first book that made me cry (one tear. btw) in a while. but i've still got my dislikes about this book/series. it's always either written much too complex for the context, or not detailed enough. THEN there's the matter of repetition. Clare repeats descriptions WAY TOO MUCH. "willed herself to stay consious" "willed himself to-" "The silvery lines where his marks were-" blahblahblah

i'm kind of tired of reading books from a hero/heroine's perspective. well. let me explain. i'm tired of these people with special powers and nonsense. that's why i like Terry Pratchett books. he's marvelous in creating new "powers" but they make sense! and they're practical.
LOL "Headology". gotta love Granny Weatherwax.
which brings me to my review of "Lords and Ladies".
amazing. i got a little confused once in a while, then had to backtrack a bit. but still. the climax was awesome and i almost missed my bus stop while reading. PLEASE GO READ PRATCHETT BOOKS!

anyways. enough of my sillyness. i need to go and take a nap or something.
oh, and do homework OTL summer school.

I read the first bit of your journal then you started talking about stuff that didn't make sense to me so I stopped. But I do hope you feel 100x better, vomiting sucks balls.

Awwww. o n o Well, I'm glad you're feeling better, sweetheart! :heart:

Lol, I know what you mean about Clare's writing there. Though, I didn't mind it; I loved the characters too much. XD And yes, Clary is a mary-sue. >.| It always happens with female protagonists, and it bugs me.

And I agree with you on the hero/heroine thing. I love books when the character's special, but not too special. Like, an ordinary person overcoming extraordinary obstacles.
